NHMEC Educational Programs

Natural Health Ministries Education Center provides structured, faith-centered herbal and natural wellness education for personal enrichment, continued learning, ministry development, and advanced professional education.

NHMEC programs are delivered online through the private PENothecary™ Membership Learning Hub. Depending on the program, students may complete required readings, assignments, assessments, case studies, practicum activities, portfolios, or capstone projects.

General PENothecary™ membership does not automatically enroll a member in every NHMEC certificate or diploma program. Formal programs may have separate admission requirements, tuition, coursework, assessments, and completion standards.

Learning Pathways

NHMEC Learning Pathways allow students to progress from introductory herbal learning to advanced and specialized study.

Personal Enrichment and Membership Learning

PENothecary™ members may participate in herbal classes, workshops, webinars, seasonal studies, downloadable resources, demonstrations, and faith-centered community learning.

Personal enrichment and general membership learning do not automatically result in a certificate, diploma, professional designation, or Professional Registry eligibility.

Level 1 — Foundations

Foundational studies introduce students to:

• Basic herbal terminology

• Herbal safety

• Preparation methods

• Materia medica

• Family and household herbal education

• Biblical herbalism and natural wellness foundations

Level 2 — Applied Studies

Applied studies help students expand their foundational knowledge through:

• Body-system education

• Community herbal learning

• Ministry-based wellness education

• Anatomy and physiology

• Nutrition and lifestyle foundations

• Specialized herbal subjects

Level 3 — Advanced Studies

Advanced studies provide deeper education in:

• Herbal actions and energetics

• Body-system support

• Herbal formulation

• Research literacy

• Case-based learning

• Ethical and responsible wellness education

Practitioner Diploma Level

Practitioner-level diploma programs provide comprehensive advanced education that may include:

• Required coursework and readings

• Written assignments

• Assessments

• Herbal monographs

• Case studies

• Practicum activities

• Client-support encounters within educational scope

• Student portfolios

• Capstone requirements

• Professional ethics

Specialist Level

Specialist programs provide focused advanced education in a particular area of herbal or natural wellness study.

These programs may require previous herbal education, specific prerequisites, advanced assignments, case studies, or practicum work.

Professional Pathways

NHMEC Professional Pathways are intended for students seeking formal advanced education and continued professional development.

Professional Pathways may include:

• Professional Registry eligibility

NHMEC professional pathways provide advanced non-licensure education. Completion does not grant medical licensure or authorization to practice a regulated profession.

NHMEC Professional Registry

The NHMEC Professional Registry is an internal recognition system for eligible graduates who meet NHMEC’s educational, ethical, practicum, and continuing education requirements.

Registry recognition is separate from graduation and is not automatically awarded upon completion of an NHMEC program.

Registry listing is not government licensure, state certification, medical credentialing, or permission to diagnose, prescribe, or practice medicine.

Only graduates of programs specifically identified as Registry eligible may apply.

Program Credentials

Depending on the course or program completed, NHMEC may award:

• Certificate of Completion

• Diploma of Completion

• Advanced Diploma of Completion

• Program-specific educational designation

The exact credential awarded is stated in the official description of each program.

NHMEC certificates, diplomas, and educational designations recognize completion of private education. They are not college degrees, state licenses, medical credentials, or government-issued certifications.

Program Costs

Tuition, membership fees, textbooks, supplies, kits, practicum expenses, and other costs vary by program.

Natural Health Ministries Education Center does not currently offer scholarships. Students are responsible for all stated program costs.

Educational and Non-Licensure Notice

Natural Health Ministries Education Center is a private, faith-based, non-licensure educational institution.

NHMEC programs do not authorize students or graduates to diagnose disease, prescribe treatment, practice medicine, or claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease.

Students and graduates are responsible for remaining within their education, qualifications, applicable laws, and appropriate professional boundaries.
