The NHMEC Professional Registry requires documented practicum experience and structured client support encounters to ensure responsible formation and ethical accountability.
These standards exist to preserve institutional integrity and protect both practitioner and public.
Registry reflects educational recognition only and does not grant medical authority.
Applicants for registry recognition must complete:
Minimum 200 Documented Practicum Hours
Practicum hours must be completed after enrollment in a Practitioner-Level Diploma program.
Practicum hours represent supervised or guided experiential learning that includes:
• Case study analysis
• Educational consultation practice
• Documentation exercises
• Wellness plan drafting
• Follow-up evaluation exercises
• Roundtable participation
• Structured practicum sessions
Practicum hours must reflect disciplined application of learned material.
Practicum may NOT include:
• Medical diagnosis
• Prescribing medication
• Treating disease
• Replacing licensed healthcare providers
• Activities outside lawful scope
NHMEC students operate within educational support boundaries only.
All practicum hours must be:
• Logged
• Dated
• Clearly described
• Reflective of educational scope
• Available for review upon request
Incomplete or unverifiable logs may delay registry approval.
Applicants must complete:
Minimum 30 Documented Client Support Encounters
These encounters demonstrate responsible application of educational principles.
A Client Support Encounter may include:
• Educational wellness consultation
• Structured case review
• Herbal literacy discussion
• Lifestyle stewardship guidance
• Follow-up session within scope
Encounters must be documented and reflect ethical boundaries.
Each documented encounter should include:
• Date of interaction
• General purpose of session
• Educational focus
• Documentation summary
• Scope confirmation
Client encounters must remain within non-diagnostic, educational support limits.
Registry applicants must demonstrate:
• Clear communication of non-medical status
• Appropriate referral when necessary
• Honest representation of credentials
• Respect for client autonomy
Failure to demonstrate ethical conduct may result in denial of registry recognition.
NHMEC reserves the right to:
• Review practicum logs
• Request clarification
• Deny or delay registry approval
• Require additional documentation
