2️⃣ Professional Registry Recognition (Application-Based)
This guide explains how credentials are structured within NHMEC.
Academic designations reflect successful completion of structured educational programs.
They are awarded upon meeting diploma requirements and do not require registry application.
Academic designations do not grant licensure.
🌿LEVEL 2 - APPLIED STUDEIS
Upon successful completion of level 2 (specified courses) *, graduates may use the following educaton designations;
CH - Community Herbalist
FEC - Flower Essence Coach
CHC - CANINE HERBALIST COACH
🌳LEVEL 3 - ADVANCED HERBAL FORMATION
WH - Wellness Herbalist
HCH- Holistic Christian Herbalist
Upon successful completion of Practitioner-Level Diplomas, graduates may use the following educational designations:
• CHP — Custom Herbalist Practitioner
• CHWP — Christian Herbal Wellness Practitioner
• HPWP — Holistic P.E.N. Way Practitioner
• FHF — Functional Herbal Foundations
These designations represent academic completion only.
Upon successful completion of Specialist-Level Diplomas, graduates may receive:
• AHS — Antimicrobial Herbal Specialist
Specialist designations reflect focused advanced study.
Custom Program - Custom Herbal Practitioner
CHP - Custom Herbal Practitioner
Professional Registry recognition is separate from diploma completion.
Applicants who meet registry eligibility standards and receive approval may use the following registered designation format:
R + Academic Designation (Example - RHCH (NHMEC))
Examples:
• RCHP — Registered Custom Herbalist Practitioner
• RCHWP — Registered Christian Herbal Wellness Practitioner
• RHPWP — Registered Holistic P.E.N. Way Practitioner
• RFHF — Registered Functional Herbal Foundations
RAHS - Registered Antimicrobial Herbal Specialist HERBALIST

Registry designation indicates:
• Practitioner-Level completion
• Practicum hour documentation
• Client encounter documentation
• Ethics agreement
• Continuing education commitment
Registry members may be:
Active — All CE requirements current, listed in directory
Inactive — CE deficiency or renewal lapse, not listed in directory
Only Active members may represent themselves as registered practitioners.
Registry and academic designations must:
• Be represented accurately
• Not imply licensure
• Not suggest medical authority
• Remain within lawful educational scope
Improper use of credentials may result in disciplinary review.
NHMEC designations:
• Do not grant state licensure
• Do not authorize diagnosis
• Do not authorize prescription
• Do not override local law
All credentials reflect internal educational standards only.
The distinction between:
Academic Designation
and
Registered Designation
protects both the graduate and the institution.
NHMEC maintains this structure intentionally to preserve credibility and clarity.
