The PENothecary™ is both a membership community and the private online platform used to deliver selected NHMEC educational programs.
However, general membership is not the same as enrollment in a certificate or diploma program.
PENothecary™ membership does not automatically provide:
Enrollment in every NHMEC course or program
A certificate or diploma
Practitioner-level recognition
Professional Registry eligibility
A professional or academic designation
Medical or occupational licensure
Structured certificate and diploma programs have separate:
Admission requirements
Tuition or program fees
Curricula
Required readings
Assignments
Assessments
Passing requirements
Completion standards
Student records
Members interested in formal education may explore the NHMEC Learning Pathways.
The PENothecary™ is designed for:
Beginning and hobby herbalists
Homemakers and families
Ministry families
Church and community members
Individuals interested in natural living
Wellness educators seeking continued learning
Individuals building a home herbal collection
Students exploring future herbal education
Those interested in practical and seasonal herbal stewardship
No previous herbal education is required for general membership unless a particular class states otherwise.
The PENothecary™ reflects our belief that:
Herbal learning should be accessible
Responsible knowledge develops over time
Stewardship begins with education
Safety and ethical boundaries matter
Faith and whole-person wellness are interconnected
Community learning should remain respectful and supportive
Members may share experiences and educational information, but they may not use the community to diagnose, prescribe, provide medical treatment, or make unsupported claims about curing or preventing disease.
The PENothecary™ embraces a Christian, faith-centered approach to herbal and natural wellness education.
“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
1 Corinthians 6:19–20, KJV
We recognize God as the ultimate Healer. Herbal learning is presented as responsible education and stewardship, not as a replacement for God, licensed healthcare, or necessary medical care.
Members may contact NHMEC for:
Google Sites access assistance
Orientation questions
Membership questions
Help locating resources
Facebook group access
General technical support
NHMEC seeks to respond to membership and access questions within two business days, excluding holidays, emergencies, and announced closures.
Members may cancel their recurring membership according to the Membership Withdrawal Policy.
Refund eligibility is governed by the separate Membership Refund Policy.
Members should review both policies before joining. Access ends according to the terms of the applicable withdrawal or cancellation policy.
The PENothecary™ is an educational membership community. It is not:
A medical clinic
A healthcare practice
A counseling or crisis service
A licensing agency
A substitute for licensed medical care
A guarantee of employment, income, or professional recognition
Natural Health Ministries Education Center and the PENothecary™ provide education only.
Membership does not authorize a person to diagnose disease, prescribe treatment, practice medicine, or claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease.
Members are responsible for remaining within their education, qualifications, applicable laws, and appropriate professional boundaries.
