Who May Apply

Registry application is available only to graduates of NHMEC programs specifically identified as Registry eligible.

Not every course, workshop, certificate, diploma, or membership activity qualifies for Registry consideration.

Applicants must meet the requirements associated with their program and requested designation.

General Eligibility Requirements

Applicants may be required to:

1. Complete an eligible NHMEC program.

2. Meet all coursework and assessment requirements.

3. Complete the required practicum hours and client-support encounters, when applicable.

4. Submit the required documentation.

5. Sign and follow the NHMEC Code of Ethics.

6. Remain in good standing with NHMEC.

7. Submit the Registry application.

8. Pay the applicable Registry fee.

9. Agree to continuing-education and renewal requirements.

Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee approval. NHMEC reserves the right to review each application for completeness, accuracy, ethical compliance, and appropriate credential use.

Registry Recognition

Approved Registry members may receive:

• Official NHMEC Registry recognition

• An approved NHMEC Registry designation

• Listing in the NHMEC Registry Directory

• Authorization to use the applicable Registry seal or badge

• Active Registry status for the approved renewal period

The specific designation awarded is based upon the graduate’s eligible program and approved Registry level.

Important Meaning of “Registered”

The term registered refers only to recognition within the private NHMEC Professional Registry.

It does not mean that the individual is:

• Registered by a state government

• Licensed by a healthcare board

• Certified by a government agency

• Authorized to practice medicine

• Authorized to diagnose or prescribe

• Exempt from applicable laws

Registry members must clearly identify NHMEC as the issuing institution when using a Registry designation.

Annual Registry Fee

$50 Per Year

Registry recognition must be renewed annually.

The annual fee supports:

• Registry administration

• Application and renewal review

• Directory maintenance

• Registry documentation

• Seal and badge administration

• Continuing-education review

Registry fees are separate from tuition, membership fees, program fees, books, supplies, and outside professional expenses.

Natural Health Ministries Education Center does not currently offer scholarships.

Annual Renewal Requirements

To maintain active Registry status, members must:

• Complete at least 12 hours of continuing education annually

• Maintain ethical compliance

• Remain in good standing with NHMEC

• Keep contact and directory information current

• Submit required renewal documentation

• Pay the annual Registry fee

• Use Registry credentials and seals correctly

Failure to renew may result in inactive status.

Practicum and Client-Support Standards

When required for a Registry designation, practicum activities must be:

• Documented

• Educational in scope

• Conducted within lawful boundaries

• Consistent with NHMEC policies

• Respectful of privacy and consent

• Reviewed according to applicable NHMEC standards

Client-support encounters may include:

• Educational herbal consultations

• General wellness education

• Structured case documentation

• Appropriate follow-up support

• Referral to licensed professionals when necessary

Practicum and Registry participation do not authorize medical diagnosis or treatment.

Registry Status

Registry members may be listed as:

Active

The member has satisfied current renewal, continuing-education, fee, and ethical requirements.

Inactive

The member has not completed renewal requirements or has allowed Registry recognition to lapse.

Suspended

Registry privileges have been temporarily restricted while a concern, complaint, or compliance issue is reviewed.

Revoked

Registry recognition has been withdrawn because of a serious or unresolved violation.

Suspension or Revocation

Registry status may be suspended or revoked for:

• Ethical violations

• Misrepresentation of credentials

• False or misleading claims

• Practicing outside lawful scope

• Breach of confidentiality

• Misuse of the NHMEC name, seal, or badge

• Failure to complete continuing education

• Failure to renew

• Falsification of records

• Breach of institutional agreements

Registry decisions are governed by applicable NHMEC review and appeal policies.

Registry Limitations

The NHMEC Professional Registry:

• Is an internal institutional registry

• Is not state or federal licensure

• Does not grant medical authority

• Does not provide diagnostic rights

• Does not provide prescriptive authority

• Does not replace business licensing

• Does not guarantee insurance eligibility

• Does not override local, state, or federal law

• Does not guarantee employment or income

Registry members remain responsible for complying with all laws, regulations, insurance requirements, and professional boundaries applicable to their activities.
