The Variable Financial Need Scholarship is a limited, discretionary award designed to assist students who demonstrate genuine financial hardship while showing strong commitment to academic and spiritual formation.
This scholarship is not income-based entitlement.
It is ministry-based discretion.
Awards vary annually.
This scholarship exists to:
• Support students with demonstrated financial strain
• Encourage responsible stewardship
• Preserve access to education for serious learners
• Strengthen ministry-centered formation
It is intended for individuals who desire to study but face temporary financial limitations.
The Variable Financial Need Scholarship:
• May cover partial tuition
• May cover reduced monthly subscription
• May temporarily waive enrollment fee
• May include in-kind study materials
The amount and duration are determined annually.
Awards are customized.
“Variable” means:
• Award amounts may differ from student to student
• Award length may vary
• Scholarship may be one-time or temporary
• Scholarship may be partial rather than full
There is no fixed dollar amount.
Applicants may be considered based on:
• Demonstrated financial hardship
• Personal statement
• Academic commitment
• Alignment with NHMEC mission
• Participation history (if current student)
Proof of hardship may be requested but is not always required.
NHMEC exercises discretion with compassion and discernment.
Recipients must:
• Maintain active participation
• Show consistent academic progress
• Adhere to institutional policies
• Remain in good standing
• Communicate changes in circumstances
Failure to meet expectations may result in adjustment or revocation.
Scholarships are:
• Granted for a defined term
• Reviewed periodically
• Not automatically renewed
Continuation requires review and availability of funds.
All awards:
• Are determined by NHMEC administration
• Are subject to available resources
• May be modified or discontinued
• Are final once determined
Submission of application does not guarantee assistance.
This scholarship exists as an act of stewardship — not entitlement.
It is designed to:
• Assist without creating dependency
• Encourage commitment
• Preserve institutional sustainability
NHMEC maintains full discretion over all Variable Financial Need awards.
