A reader's response is not a summary. It's a dialog - a running conversation between the reader and the text. Capturing significant moments in this conversation, a reader's response reveals a reader's ongoing, personal, and authentic dialog with a text.
In a "Reader's Response: Chat with a Bot", you will explore this dialog by chatting with a bot. This will give you the opportunity to explore insights, identify ideas that surprised or challenged your thinking, and connect your thoughts about the reading to the world around you, other texts, and yourseff.
STEP 1: Click here to start your Reader's Response: Chat with a Bot. Enter your name (first only) and then click join.
STEP 2: Chat for five minutes and then complete the rest of your response in Google Classroom.
STEP 3: Copy the link to your specific chat and add this to the specifically identified reader's response posted in Google Classroom.
