The rhetorical situation, also known as the rhetorical context, is the set of circumstances surrounding a communication event. It's the dynamic interplay between a speaker and an audience.

Exigence: The urgent problem, situation, or event that necessitates the creation of the text or response.
Message: The actual content or argument of the communication.
Context: The broader social, cultural, historical, or environmental factors surrounding the communication that influence its meaning and reception.
Medium/Genre: The way the message is delivered, such as a speech, an essay, a tweet, or a diagram.
