Integers

Definition

Integers are all the natural numbers (i.e. 1, 2, 3, ...) , their negative counterparts (i.e. −1, −2, −3, ...) and zero (0).

Integers are represented by the Z-like symbol (See image) which originates from the German word Zahlen meaning numbers. 

Integers are a closed group under addition, subtraction and multiplication compared to Natural numbers that are only closed under addition and multiplication.
