In order to sketch a quadratic graph, we need to be able to:
- Know the parts of the quadratic graph.
- Determine the Shape of the graph.
- Find the critical points (Intercepts and Turning point) and state the Line of symmetry.
- Plot a smooth curve through the critical points.
- Label the Axis, Origin and Equation of the graph.

There are 4 critical points that needs to be labelled in a quadratic graph:
- The 2 x-intercepts (if they exist): Where the graph intersects the x-axis (y = 0).
- The y-intercept: Where the graph intersects the y-axis (x = 0).
- The Turning Point (Vertex): Where the gradient changes from upwards to downwards or vice-versa.
