Colin Maclaurin (1698 - 1746)

Maclaurin was a genius of his time entering university at 11 and became professor of Mathematics at the young age of 19, a record that will remain unbroken until Alia Sabur (2008).

He published 2 treatises before 21 expanding on the works of Newton and Stirling. A key thing to note is that Maclaurin was not the first to discover the Maclaurin Series which is just a special case of the Taylor Series.
