Young Women on the Move

YWM Celebration!

On Tuesday May 14th we were delighted to host our 2nd annual Celebratory Luncheon for Young Women on the Move at LPCI.  This event celebrates the achievements of some of LPCI's amazing young women who have elevated their passions and their voice, and stepped up to make outstanding contributions to the culture of our school and the greater LP community!

We were very fortunate this year to have a panel of three dynamic speakers join us: Tigist Amdemichael, TDSB Learning Coach seconded to York University, Professor in the Faculty of Education; Sheilagh Cummins, business coach, growth strategist and founder of The Road to Seven; and Nora Shulman, retired Principal Flutist with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Adjunct Associate Professor at the Faculty of Music at the University of Toronto.  It was a privilege for our students to learn directly from this distinguished panel, and we are so grateful to each of them for generously imparting their wisdom and knowledge with our students.  It was our pleasure to present each of our nominated students with a special certificate from the Young Women on the Move Committee.
