LPCI Library Learning Commons October 7, 2022 Newsletter

Engage, Inspire, Empower

Our goal is to support the success of our students, to promote a life-long enjoyment of reading, and to provide knowledge building experiences with 24/7 access to information in a welcoming environment that is conducive to learning.

We  strive to achieve this goal through attention to Equity, Well Being and Achievement.

This week we have a new resource page for you to explore. October is Women's History Month. We celebrate the women in Canada who have made a lasting impact.

This week's virtual library tip - Use the 'Find' button on our LPCI Virtual Library to search prepared subject guides. These guides are a good starting place for accessing existing TDSB and external resources in specific subject areas. Also check out Career Studies and Civics and Citizenship.

October 11 is International Day of the Girl Child, a day dedicated to celebrating the voices and power of girls, championing their rights worldwide, and reflecting on the challenges they continue to face because of their gender. In 2022, we commemorate the 10th anniversary of the International Day of the Girl Child.

World Mental Health Day is October 10, 2022: Make Mental Health & Well-Being for All a Global Priority

We hope this newsletter will be a support to you as we read, research, and learn together at Lawrence Park C.I. Library Learning Commons.
