Sir Fredrick Banting

Frederick Banting was the codeveloper of insulin and shared Canada's first Nobel Prize. During and after his lifetime, Frederick Banting remained one of the world’s most famous Canadians. The very large international diabetes community expressed its gratitude for insulin with countless tributes to Banting. These include prizes, lectures, medals and other honours named after him. Canadian schools and a crater on the moon bear his name.

November 14 is Banting's birthday and recognized as World Diabetes Day

Nutrition and Fitness - A balanced diet and being active have long been known to lead to better blood sugar control.

This week's virtual library tip - Open "FIND" in our Virtual Library. Use the Subject Resource Find Table tools to limit your search for subject and type of resource you need and your grade.

Search the subject guides for helpful guides prepared to support many subject areas as well as Career Studies and Civics and citizenship.

We hope this newsletter will be a support to you as we read, research, and learn together at Lawrence Park C.I. Library Learning Commons.
