February 4, 2022 Newsletter

Engage, Inspire, Empower

Our goal is to support the success of our students, to promote a life-long enjoyment of reading, and to provide knowledge building experiences with 24/7 access to information in a welcoming environment that is conducive to learning.

We  strive to achieve this goal through attention to Equity, Well Being and Achievement.

This newsletter celebrates a new month and a new semester promising hope and new beginnings. This month we recognize African and Chinese Heritage and celebrate the achievements and contributions of peoples of African and Chinese descent to Canada and the world.  We cheer on all the athletes who are competing in Beijing and wish them well. And we remind you that we are here to help you as you embark on new challenges.

What do I know?

What am I curious about?

What questions and answers have those before me created?

What do those around me need from me?

What do I need from them?

What is worth understanding?

What is the difference between awareness, knowledge, and understanding?

What are the limits of knowledge?

How does uncertainty affect me as a thinker?

What does one ‘do’ with knowledge?

What does my community–however I define it–require from me, and I from it?

Why learn?

We hope this newsletter will be a support to you as we commence a fresh new semester at Lawrence Park C.I. together.
