National AccessAbility Week: May 28 to June 3, 2023

This year the theme for National AccessAbility Week is “Disability Inclusion: From Possibilities to Practice”.

Our country’s strength lies in the diversity of its people – all its people. And we can all contribute to this vision.

June is Pride Month. Equip students with a better understanding of how they can advocate for social change and get involved in online activism with this free lesson plan: PushBack: Engaging in Online Activism

The TDSB Character Trait for June is Perseverance. What is perseverance and why is it important?

Students demonstrate the trait of perseverance by continuing to perform their responsibilities and pursue their goals with vigor and tenacity despite frustrations, mistakes, setbacks, and other obstacles that make their task difficult or seem impossible. They resist temptations and pressures to give up or quit, choosing instead, to persist as long as they are able.

We hope this newsletter will be a support to you as we read, research, and learn together at Lawrence Park C.I. @LPCIlibrarylife
