The TDSB character trait for this month is honesty. We continue to emphasize that using information ethically and legally is one way you can exercise honesty.
Research shows that reading for pleasure or recreational reading is a major predictor of academic success. We are happy to be offering students participation in the White Pine Reading Program. Please plan to participate.
The intense media coverage that accompanies traumatic events, such as war, acts of terrorism and natural disasters, can be very disturbing for children and teens. Certain young people are particularly vulnerable and some can be seriously distressed simply by watching TV replays of such events.

March 8 is International Women's Day. It’s a global day to recognize and celebrate women’s and girls’ social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. It’s also a time to raise awareness of the progress made towards achieving gender equality and the work remaining to be done.
