The Canada Council for the Arts presents The 2022 Governor General’s Literary Awards

The Governor General’s Literary Awards (GGBooks) celebrate literature and inspire the general public to read books by creators from Canada. They provide finalists and winners with valuable recognition from peers and readers across the country.

Even with cyber powers, cyberheroes also need to take care of their personal wellbeing by knowing to rest, pause and when to limit the use of digital technology and the internet. Knowing how to moderate our own use of digital technology is something we should all learn to do. Check it out.


International Day for the Eradication of Poverty 

UNESCO is convinced that the sustainable fight against poverty requires the strengthening of individuals’ capacities through education, science and support for a creative economy, which are sources of employment as well as of pride and dignity. 

October is Canadian Library Month! During this month, libraries and library partners across Canada raise awareness of the valuable role libraries play in the lives of people in Canada. 

On Monday Oct 24 and every day, we celebrate the wonderful student accomplishments and learning experiences here at Lawrence Park C.I. Library Learning Commons.
