HELLO JUNE !

June is National Indigenous History Month and June 21st is National Indigenous Peoples Day, a time to celebrate and learn from First Nations, Métis and Inuit people about the diverse cultures, histories, experiences, creations, perspectives, and achievements. In June, we celebrate Pride in the TDSB. It’s an opportunity to celebrate diversity and raise awareness among all staff and students about the rich culture and history of our LGBTQ community. Please see the Pride Month Resource Document we have prepared to help our LPCI Learning Community.

Portuguese-Speaking Heritage Month is proudly recognized during the month of June at the Toronto District School Board since 2011. The Province of Ontario passed the Celebration of Portuguese Heritage Act in 2001.This year our theme is Andorinha! Watch us Soar!

Italian Heritage Month at the Toronto District School Board

This year's theme for Italian Heritage Month is Buongiorno Italia! Keeping with this lens, to mark Italian Heritage Month at the TDSB during the month of June, the Italian Heritage Month Volunteer Planning Committee members have put together various ways to for students, staff and the TDSB community to learn about the Italian heritage.
