Robert Lynch

Robert Joseph lynch, who rode as Bertie Lynch, was born in Dublin on November 28, 1892, and was apprenticed to P. P. Gilpin.

He won the 1922 Royal Hunt Cup on Varzy and the 1921 Ayr Gold Cup on Self Sacrifice. Two other good wins came on Milenko in the 1921 Cambridgeshire and on Anthurium in the 1931 City & Suburban.

Robert rode in public until he was sixty.

He died at Lymington, Hants., on December 23, 1970
