Dimension Project - Station 1. The Swirling Valley

渦城平谷以台北城為藍本,連動裝置及影像為媒材,創造一個城市意象,並以此虛構城市與真實的台北城揉合,提出對於未來城市實驗性的提問。

裝置以「水」為媒介,作為各類型的象徵:具象化時間的線性、穿梭於城市的流動、真實的地理容貌等,貫穿裝置文本的始末。並在以水為連動的敘事線中,穿插象徵城市各個階段的非線性文本。觀眾可圍繞或穿梭在連動裝置的敘事線裡,自由選擇觀演距離及與此虛構城市的共鳴。

The Swirling Valley’s blueprint is based on Taipei City, the media is based on the linkage arrangement and image to create the city imagery. Knead the virtual and actual city, to ask questions about the future experiment city.

The installation uses “water” as the medium, making it a symbol for various types: linearization of time, the flowing through of the city, the authentic appearance of the geography, etc., running through the beginning of the installation text to the end. Using water as the link in the narrative line interweaves the symbolism of various stages of the city in the non–linear version. The audience could surround or go through the installation narrative line, free to choose the viewing distance and resonance with this virtual city

平谷試誤所 Pangu Trial

於2019年末發起,創作脈絡以「城市」為發展命題,延伸出人與城市的關係、城市裡的情感、城市與裝置、科技與城市、城市裡的儀式性,等不同導向的作品。

作品形式則不限於動態、靜態、裝置、影像,甚或肢體,實踐團隊宗旨:不停嘗試錯誤,並使錯誤在創作者的導正、累積及創新觀點下,成為作品的新意。

We initiated at the end of 2019, developed the sequence of the ideas for the name based on “city.” Extended out several different directions of art works for the relationship between people and the city, the emotion in the city, installation and the city, technology and the city, and the ritual in the city.

This art work forms are not limited to moving state, static state, installation, image, or even connection: try and error, making the mistakes become the innovative ideas under the creator's guidance, accumulation, and creation.
