Benefit: When you hit a Large or larger enemy and would deal Sneak Attack damage against that target, you can forgo rolling Sneak Attack damage and instead cause the target to be slowed until the end of your next turn. Using this option counts as using Sneak Attack for the round.

Benefit: When you use your second chance racial power and the enemy’s attack misses, you gain combat advantage for the next attack roll you make against that enemy before the end of your next turn.

Blessed Scoundrel

Prerequisite: Halfling, any divine class

Benefit: When you use your second chance racial power and the enemy misses you with its attack, you can spend a healing surge.

Blessing of Avandra

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling, cleric

Benefit: When you use your second chance racial power and the attack misses, one ally within 5 squares of you can spend a healing surge.

Bloodied Triumph

Prerequisite: Halfling, second chance racial power

Benefit: When you use second chance while bloodied, you and your allies gain combat advantage against the triggering attacker until the end of your next turn.

Bloodied Vengeance

Prerequisite: Halfling, second chance racial power

Benefit: When you use second chance while bloodied, you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls until the end of your next turn. If the triggering attack still hits you, this bonus increases to +4.

Bold Command

Prerequisite: Halfling, warlord, Bravura Presence class feature

Benefit: If an enemy that has combat advantage against you misses with a melee attack, your allies gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls against that enemy until the start of your next tur

Confounding Luck

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling, second chance power, must worship Avandra

Benefit: When you use your second chance racial power and the triggering enemy’s attack misses, that enemy takes a -2 penalty to attack rolls until the end of your next turn.

Cooperative Chance

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling, bard

Benefit: You can use your second chance power when an attack hits an ally within 10 squares of you. If the attack misses, you can slide that ally a number of squares equal to your Dexterity modifier.

Defensive Bluff

Prerequisite: Halfling

Benefit: When you use your second wind, you can, as part of the same action, make a Bluff check to gain combat advantage or to create a diversion to hide (Player’s Handbook page 183).

Deft Hurler Style [Arena Fighting]

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Dex 13 or halfling race, any martial class

Benefit: You gain a benefit with any of the following exploits you possess.

Associated Powers:

Cleave: You can forgo dealing damage to the adjacent enemy to instead make a ranged basic attack with a heavy thrown weapon against one creature other than the target of your cleave. This ranged basic attack does not provoke opportunity attacks.

Sly Flourish: If you are a halfling and use second chance to change an attack from a hit to a miss, you can use this exploit to make a ranged attack as a free action.

Twin Strike: If you are wielding two light thrown weapons and both attacks miss, you can shift 1 square after the attack.

Evade and Strike

Prerequisite: Halfling, avenger, oath of enmity power

Benefit: When your oath of enmity target misses on an attack you forced it to reroll by using your second chance racial power, you gain a +2 bonus to damage rolls against that target until the end of your next turn.

The bonus increases to +4 at 11th level and +6 at 21st level.

Flowing River Style

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling, second chance racial power, monk

Benefit: When a monk power allows you to shift, if you have not yet used your second chance power, you can enter enemies’ spaces during this shift. You must end this movement in an unoccupied square

Fortune’s Warrior

Epic Tier

Prerequisite: 21st level, Dex 17, halfling, any martial class

Benefit: When you use the second chance racial power against an attacker, you gain combat advantage with martial attack powers against that attacker until the end of your next turn.

Ghostwise Heritage

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling

Benefit: After meditating for one minute, choose one ally you can see. Whenever that ally is within 10 squares of you, any time you are both required to make a Perception check, both of you can use the higher result of your two rolls.

By meditating again, you can change the ally to whom you are linked

Guileful Shift

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling, avenger, must worship Avandra

Benefit: When your oath of enmity target misses you with an attack, you can shift 1 square to a square closer to or adjacent to the target as a free action.

Halfling Agility

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling, second chance racial power

Benefit: When you use the halfling second chance power, the attacker takes a –2 penalty to the new attack roll.

Halfling Beast Mastery

Paragon Tier

Prerequisite: 11th level, halfling, ranger, Beast Mastery class feature

Benefit: Your beast companion can use the second chance racial power as an encounter power. This use doesn’t count against your use of the power, and vice versa.

Halfling Fast Talk

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling

Benefit: You gain a +2 feat bonus to Bluff checks. In addition, if you make a Bluff check and dislike the result, you can expend your second chance power to reroll the check.

Halfling Short Bow Hunter

Benefit: When you use a short bow, it gains the brutal 2 property and its range increases to 20/40 squares.

Halfling Stalwart

Benefit: You gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls against Large or larger creatures marked by you.

Halfling's Strength

Benefit: Increase the bonus you gain from divine strength to Strength modifier + 4.

Helpful Hint

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling, psion, send thoughts power

Benefit: Whenever an ally you can see within 20 squares of you fails a saving throw, you can expend your send thoughts as a free action to allow the ally to reroll the saving throw.

Indomitable Halfling

Prerequisite: Halfling

Benefit: You gain a +1 feat bonus to Will while bloodied. In addition, the bonus from your Bold racial feature also applies to saving throws against charm effects and ongoing psychic damage.

Infuriating Escape

Benefit: When you use your second chance racial power and the enemy’s second attack roll misses you, that enemy grants combat advantage to the next one of your allies that attacks it before the end of your next turn.

Know When to Fold

Benefit: While you’re bloodied, the first time you leave a square on your turn, you don’t provoke opportunity attacks from that movement.

Lost in the Crowd

Benefit: You gain a +2 bonus to AC when you are adjacent to at least two enemies larger than you.

Lucky Draft

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling, artificer, Healing Infusion class feature

Benefit: Instead of gaining the normal benefit for ending the effect of your resistive formula or shielding elixir, an ally benefiting from either of these powers can end the effect as a free action when hit by a melee attack to force the target to reroll the attack roll.

Lucky Retribution

Prerequisite: Halfling, invoker, must worship Avandra

Benefit: Whenever an enemy misses you with an attack, you gain combat advantage with your invoker attack powers against that enemy until the end of your next turn.

Lucky Skirmisher

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling ranger or halfling rogue

Benefit: When you run, enemies making opportunity attacks against you during that movement must roll twice and take the lower result.

Nimble Companion

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling, ranger, Beast Mastery class feature

Benefit: Your beast companion gains a +2 bonus to AC against opportunity attacks.

When an attack hits your beast companion, you can use your second chance racial power on the beast’s behalf.

Nimble Dodge

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling, any martial class

Benefit: When you make an enemy reroll an attack roll using your second chance racial power, the enemy takes a -5 penalty to the second attack roll and can’t score a critical hit on that roll.

Nimble Spellcaster

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling, Dex 13, any arcane class

Benefit: When you use an area arcane power, you do not provoke opportunity attacks from the creatures you target with that power.

Phantom Blade Evasion

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling, assassin, shadow step power

Benefit: When you use your second chance racial power, you can use shadow step as a free action when the attack is resolved.

Plague of Chance

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling, second chance racial power, you have a spellscar

Benefit: When you use second chance and the rerolled attack roll misses, the attacker takes fire and necrotic damage equal to your level and cannot see you until the end of your next turn. If you have the Student of the Plague feat, the attacker also takes fire and necrotic damage equal to your level if the rerolled attack roll hits.

Primal Halfling Counterattack

Benefit: When you use your second chance racial power, you gain a +4 bonus to damage rolls against the creature that attacked you until the end of your next turn. This bonus increases to +6 at 11th level and +8 at 21st level.

Prime Beast Strike

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling, ranger, Beast Mastery class feature

Benefit: If none of your allies is nearer to your target than either you or your beast companion, you gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls with melee and ranged attacks against that target.

Rigged Chance

Benefit: The first time you use your second chance racial power in an encounter, you regain the use of the power if the attack still hits you.

River-Born Ritualist

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling

Benefit: You have mastered the Animal Messenger and Water Walk rituals, and can perform them as if you had the Ritual Caster feat. You can use these rituals without paying the component cost, each once per day.

In addition, you gain a +2 feat bonus to Nature checks.

Second Step

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling

Benefit: When you use your second chance racial power, and the enemy rerolling its attack is larger than you, you can shift half your speed as a free action after the attack is completed

Talenta Weapon Training

Prerequisite: Halfling, Talenta Plains background

Benefit: You gain proficiency and a +2 feat bonus to damage rolls with the Talenta boomerang, the Talenta sharrash, and the Talenta tangat.

Triggered Chaos

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Halfling, sorcerer, Wild Magic class feature

Benefit: When you use your second chance racial power, you gain an additional benefit based on the result of the reroll. If the enemy’s reroll is an even number, you can slide the enemy 1 square after the attack. If the enemy’s reroll is an odd number, you can shift 1 square after the attack

Underfoot

Paragon Tier

Prerequisite: 11th level, Halfling, trained in Acrobatics

Benefit: You can move through the space of a creature two or more sizes larger than you (Large or larger) without provoking opportunity attacks from that creature. You don’t provoke when you leave an adjacent square to enter the target creature’s space or when you leave the target creature’s space to enter an adjacent square.

You still provoke attacks from other creatures. You can’t end your move in another creature’s space
