Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Swordmage

Benefit: If a target marked by your Swordmage Aegis makes an attack and doesn’t include you as a target, you gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls against the marked creature until the end of your next turn.

Aegis Vitality

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Swordmage

Benefit: Whenever a creature marked by your Swordmage Aegis makes an attack that does not include you as a target, you gain 3 temporary hit points.

Increase the temporary hit points to 5 at 11th level, and to 8 at 21st level.

Arcane Aegis [Multiclass Swordmage]

Prerequisite: Any multiclass swordmage feat, paragon multiclassing as a swordmage

Benefit: Choose a Swordmage Aegis power. You can use that power once per encounter.

Binding Ensnarement

Epic Tier

Prerequisite: 21st level, swordmage, aegis of ensnarement class feature

Benefit: When you use your aegis of ensnarement to teleport an enemy, that enemy is immobilized until the end of your next turn.

Blade Initiate [Multiclass Swordmage]

Prerequisite: Int 13

Benefit: You gain training in the Arcana skill.

Once per day, when you are wielding a blade, you can invoke the Swordmage Warding class feature as a minor action. Until the end of the encounter, you gain a +1 bonus to AC (or a +3 bonus to AC if you have one hand free).

In addition, you can use swordmage implements.

Effect: While you are wielding a ligt blade or heavy blade you gain a +1 bonus to AC, if one hand is free you gain a +3 bonus to AC. If you go unconscious this feature ends.

Requirement: You must have the Blade Initiate feat to use this feature.

Blade of the Raven Queen

Epic Tier

Prerequisite: 21st level, shadar-kai, swordmage

Benefit: Your spells that deal cold damage instead deal cold and necrotic damage and gain the Necrotic keyword.

Blighting Power

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Shadar-kai; bard, sorcerer, swordmage, warlock, or wizard class

Benefit: You gain a benefit with any of the following attack powers you know.

Associated Powers:

Booming Blade: If the target starts its turn adjacent to you and moves away, the damage dealt is necrotic and thunder damage. This power gains the necrotic keyword.

Dragonfrost: If you hit with this power, the damage dealt is cold and necrotic. This power gains the necrotic keyword.

Hellish Rebuke: If you hit with this power, the damage dealt is fire and necrotic. This power gains the necrotic keyword.

Ray of Frost: If you hit with this power, the damage dealt is cold and necrotic. This power gains the necrotic keyword.

Vicious Mockery: If you hit with this power, the damage dealt is psychic and necrotic. This power gains the necrotic keyword.

Charging Aegis

Epic Tier

Prerequisite: 21st level, swordmage, Swordmage Aegis class feature

Benefit: When you use a charge attack and hit an enemy, you can use a free action (instead of a minor action) to mark that enemy with your Swordmage Aegis power, rather than ending your turn immediately. If you mark an enemy in this way, the penalty to attack rolls imposed by your mark is -3 instead of -2. After you use this free action, your turn ends.

Closing Advantage

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Swordmage

Benefit: When you use a ranged or area swordmage attack power and hit an enemy, you gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls with melee swordmage attack powers until the end of your next turn.

Combat Casting

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Swordmage

Benefit: When you use a melee swordmage attack power and hit an enemy, your ranged and area swordmage attack powers don’t provoke opportunity attacks until the end of your next turn.

Deadly Immobilization

Paragon Tier

Prerequisite: 11th level, swordmage

Benefit: Whenever you slow or immobilize a target with a swordmage or swordmage paragon path attack power, that power deals extra damage equal to your Constitution modifier.

Deathward Aegis

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Shadar-kai, swordmage, Aegis of Shielding class feature

Benefit: When you reduce damage with your Aegis of Shielding class feature, the same target also gains resist necrotic 5 until the end of its next turn. Increase this resistance to resist necrotic 10 at 11th level, and again to resist necrotic 15 at 21st level.

Distant Swordbond

Paragon Tier

Prerequisite: 11th level, Swordmage

Benefit: You can call your bonded weapon to your hand from up to 1 mile away as a minor action.

Double Aegis

Paragon Tier

Prerequisite: 11th level, Swordmage

Benefit: When you use your Swordmage Aegis power, you can choose to also mark a second target within the burst.

If both targets attack your allies, you must choose which of the targets to respond to. (You still have only one immediate action per round.)

Eladrin Swordmage Advance

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Eladrin, swordmage

Benefit: When you use your fey step racial power to teleport to a square adjacent to an enemy, you can make a melee basic attack against that enemy as a free action.

Elemental Assault

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Genasi, swordmage with aegis of assault

Benefit: When you make a melee basic attack granted by your aegis of assault, you gain a +3 bonus to damage of a type based on your current elemental manifestation.

Earthsoul: Force

Windsoul: Cold

If you are currently manifesting more than one element, choose one damage type when making the attack.

Elemental Blade Attunement

Prerequisite: Genasi, swordmage

Benefit: When you use a swordmage power that has the acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder keyword, you gain a +1 feat bonus to damage rolls.

This bonus increases to +2 at 11th level and to +3 at 21st level.

Ensnaring Flourish

Paragon Tier

Prerequisite: 11th level, swordmage, aegis of ensnarement power

Benefit: When you use aegis of ensnarement to teleport an enemy, you gain a +5 bonus to damage rolls on melee attacks against that enemy until the end of your next turn.

Escalating Assault

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: swordmage with aegis of assault

Benefit: Each time you make a melee basic attack granted by your aegis of assault power, you gain a cumulative +1 bonus on future attack rolls made for the melee basic attacks granted by this power (up to a maximum bonus of +3). This bonus resets to 0 at the end of the encounter or if you are rendered unconscious.

Extended Aegis

Epic Tier

Prerequisite: 21st level, swordmage, Swordmage Aegis class feature

Benefit: You can use the immediate action of your Swordmage Aegis when the marked target is within 20 squares of you, instead of 10 squares.

Extended Teleportation

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Swordmage

Benefit: Whenever you teleport with a swordmage or swordmage paragon path power, add 1 to the distance you can teleport.

Grasping Ensnarement

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Swordmage, aegis of ensnarement power

Benefit: When you use aegis of ensnarement to teleport an enemy, that enemy is also slowed until the end of your next turn.

Greater Aegis of Shielding

Paragon Tier

Prerequisite: 11th level, swordmage, aegis of shielding power

Benefit: When you use your aegis of shielding to reduce the damage from an enemy’s attack, you reduce the damage by an additional 5 points.

Greater Swordmage Warding

Paragon Tier

Prerequisite: 11th level, Str 13, Con 13, swordmage, Swordmage Warding class feature

Benefit: While your Swordmage Warding is active, you gain a +1 feat bonus to all defenses.

At 21st level, this bonus increases to +2.

Heart of the Blade [Multiclass Swordmage]

Prerequisite: Con 13, Int 13

Benefit: You gain training in the Athletics skill or the Endurance skill. You gain the swordmage’s Swordbond class feature. In addition, you can wield swordmage implements.

Immortal Warding

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Deva, swordmage, Swordmage Warding class feature

Benefit: Your Swordmage Warding remains active even while you are unconscious.

Add the bonus to AC granted by your Swordmage Warding to the necrotic resistance and radiant resistance granted by your Astral Resistance racial trait.

Improved Swordbond

Prerequisite: Swordmage

Benefit: You can call your bonded weapon to your hand from up to 20 squares away with a minor action.

Improved Swordmage Warding

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Dex 13, swordmage, Swordmage Warding class feature

Benefit: While you are wearing cloth armor, leather armor, or no armor, the bonus to AC from your Swordmage Warding increases by 1.

Intelligent Blademaster

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Swordmage

Benefit: You can use your Intelligence modifier instead of your Strength modifier when making a basic attack with a melee weapon.

Rapid Aegis Reaction

Epic Tier

Prerequisite: 21st level, swordmage, aegis of assault or aegis of ensnarement or aegis of shielding power

Benefit: The first time you use the immediate action granted by your Swordmage Aegis each round, it does not count toward the normal limit on the number of immediate actions you can take in one round. You still cannot use this immediate action more than once per triggering event.

Retributive Shield

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Swordmage with aegis of shielding

Benefit: When you use your aegis of shielding power, you gain a +2 bonus to the next attack roll made before the end of your next turn against the foe that triggered the aegis of shielding immediate interrupt.

Risky Aegis

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Human, swordmage, Swordmage Aegis class feature

Benefit: When you use the immediate action effect of your Swordmage Aegis against a target marked by you, that target gains combat advantage against you until the end of its next turn, and you gain a +2 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls against that target until the end of your next turn.

Rose King's Balm

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Paladin or swordmage, proficiency with longsword

Benefit: You gain a +2 feat bonus to Heal checks.

On your turn, if you hit an enemy with an attack power associated with this feat while using a longsword, you gain a +2 power bonus to saving throws at the end of your turn. If you ended your turn more than 2 squares away from where you started, the bonus is instead +5.

Rose King's Run

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Avenger or swordmage, proficiency with longsword

Benefit: You gain a +2 feat bonus to Athletics checks.

When you hit an enemy with an attack power associated with this feat while using a longsword, you gain a climb speed equal to your speed -2 until the end of your turn.

Associated Powers: Bond of Retribution, Luring Strike

Rose King's Shield

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Avenger or swordmage, proficiency with longsword

Benefit: You gain a +2 feat bonus to Endurance checks.

Once per turn when you hit an enemy with an attack power associated with this feat while using a longsword, you gain 5 temporary hit points. If you ended your turn more than 2 squares away from where you started, you instead gain 10 temporary hit points.

Rose King's Step

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Avenger or swordmage, proficiency with longsword

Benefit: You gain a +2 feat bonus to Acrobatics checks.

When you hit an enemy with an attack power associated with this feat while using a longsword, you can ignore difficult terrain while shifting until the end of your turn.

Shadowed Aegis

Paragon Tier

Prerequisite: shadar-kai, swordmage, Aegis of Assault class feature

Benefit: When you teleport due to your Aegis of Assault class feature, you also become insubstantial until the end of your next turn.

Shared Warding

Epic Tier

Prerequisite: 21st level, swordmage, Swordmage Warding class feature

Benefit: While your Swordmage Warding is active, each ally adjacent to you gains a +1 bonus to AC.

Student of Sword Magic

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Swordmage

Benefit: You have a spellbook in which you record your swordmage spells.

When you choose this feat, select a second swordmage daily attack power for each level at which you already know a swordmage daily attack power, and add those powers to your spellbook. After an extended rest, you can prepare a number of daily spells according to what you can cast per day for your level. You can’t prepare the same spell twice.

Whenever you learn a new level of swordmage daily attack powers, add two different swordmage daily attack spells of that level to your spellbook.

If you retrain a daily swordmage attack power, you replace only one of your two choices for that level. If you replace the power with a power from a different class (through multiclassing) or a swordmage daily attack power of a higher level, you replace both spell choices with the new power or powers.

Swordmage Implement Expertise

Epic Tier

Prerequisite: 21st level, Int 21; Str 17 or Con 17; Swordmage

Benefit: When attacking with a swordmage implement, you score a critical hit on a roll of 19–20 with melee basic attacks, swordmage attack powers, and swordmage paragon path attack powers.

Timely Teleport

Paragon Tier

Prerequisite: 11th level, swordmage

Benefit: When you use second wind, you can also teleport a number of squares equal to your Intelligence modifier as a free action.

Total Aegis

Epic Tier

Prerequisite: 21st level, Swordmage

Benefit: When you use your Swordmage Aegis power, you can choose to mark any number of targets within burst.

Valenar Weapon Warding

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Elf, swordmage, Swordmage Warding class feature

Benefit: You increase the AC bonus provided by your Swordmage Warding to +2 while you are wielding a double scimitar or a falchion.

Vigor of the Blade Adept

Heroic Tier

Prerequisite: Swordmage

Benefit: While in a swordmage or swordmage paragon path stance, add your Strength modifier to your healing surge value.

Vigorous Assault

Paragon Tier

Prerequisite: 11th level, swordmage, aegis of assault power

Benefit: When you use your aegis of assault to teleport, you gain temporary hit points equal to 3 + your Strength modifier.
