Below is a Step-by-Step guide to using Quizlet.
Step 1: Search or Create a Quizlet study set. Use the search bar to search. If you want to create a set, you must create an account first.
Step 2: To create a study set you enter in all of your information into the provided spaces.
Step 3: To view all of your study sets or recently viewed sets you click on your account in the top right corner.
Step 4: To study a set you click on the set and Quizlet will display all of the study options that you can use and for which ever style is chosen, Quizlet will use your information.
There are many benefits to using Quizlet in the classroom. Teachers can create study sets for lessons or chapters and give students access to them to use to study. Quizlet offers many different learning tools so you are not only limited to just using flashcards. Quizlet offers learning games such as a memory game, matching games, a gravity game, and even puts the information into the form of a practice test. Quizlet gives many learning oppurtunites such as spaced repetition, peer tutoring, gives competition, and motivates the students to study.

For the Louisiana student standard for First Grade ELA "Determine or clarify the meaning of unknown and multiple-meaning words and phrases based on grade 1 reading and content, choosing flexibly from an array of strategies," a teacher can create a Quizlet study set with vocabulary words. It can be used as regular flashcards or even in one of the game forms.
2. For the Louisiana student standard for Kindergarten Social Studies "K.3.4 Illustrate basic landforms," the students must know what each landform is before they can illustrate it. The teacher or students can create a Quizlet study set with the terms and definitions of each type of landform. The students can share their study sets with other students and quiz each other using their Quizlet study sets.
