Benefits in the classroom

Using the Be Internet Awesome tools in the classroom, especially in the younger grades, is beneficial. Students who don't have access to internet at home or parents who may not be looking over what their kids are doing online will be able to learn how to safely use the internet and avoid being getting sucked into the big black hole of the internet. With technology making its way into schools more and more every year, it's crucial that students are taught from day one how to use the internet safely, responsibly, and efficiently.

Resources

These two activities above are resources that come from straight from the Be Internet Awesome home page. The first one is posters that teachers can use in their classrooms to help make visual hooks for students to hang the information on. Each poster matches a lesson from the interworld that can be a class discussion and then a visual aid for memory and reference.

The google slides is a presentation put together by the people at google. The presentation is a fully set up lesson about how to use the games of Be Internet Awesome and how to teach the information in what they think is the most effective way. The slides go through examples of what you should and should not post on the internet, they also ask questions about sites and users you should stay away from.
