Nearpod is an interactive classroom tool for teachers to engage students with interactive lessons. With Nearpod, students have the ability to participate in lessons that contain virtual reality, 3D objects, PhET simulations and so much more. Interactive software features empower student voice through activities like open ended questions, polls, quizzes, collaborative boards and more! Students will learn while having fun.

step by step guide:

1.) Create a Nearpod account and download on devices if needed

2.) Once you have created an account (google/gmail) and you are logged in you may begin exploring and even adding in your own lesson plans

3.) There will be five tabs on your homepage that will allow you to view the lesson plans you have saved, to explore new lessons, the join tab is the tab that allows your students to join in on lessons. When you click the join tab it will give you a code that your students need to type in. The create tab allows you to create your own lesson plans, you may import files that you have already created. The reports tab is where you would look to see statistics of your students engagement.

4.) If at any point you need help there is a tech support icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Nearpod offers interactive lessons that spark student interaction. Nearpod is also full of already made lessons from credible sources. Nearpod allows teaching and learning to be fun and easy, or at least easier. With Nearpod you can track student interaction and progess. Nearpod has copious amounts of ways to get your students involved. Nearpod ranges from grades K-12 so no matter what grade level you may be teaching year to year you still have access to various kinds of lessons.

Nearpod offers both free and paid for lessons. You can upload your own lessons onto Nearpod and make them more interactive with Nearpod's tools and games. Also, you can make changes to the lessons you find on Nearpod, making it easy to meet standards and meet your students' needs.

1.) What devices can I use with Nearpod?

Currently, Nearpod supports a wide variety of devices through our applications and web browsers. These include, but are not limited to -- All computers capable of using the latest iteration of the Google Chrome web browser.iOS devices (iPhones, iPads, iPod touch) running iOS version 9.0 or newer. iOS devices using iOS 8 or newer with Safari browserAndroid device running version 4.4 or newer (recommended 5.0 for Google play store app)Chromebooks running the latest version of Chrome OS

2. ) How can my students join the Nearpod lesson?

Students can join your Nearpod lesson by entering the CODE that is generated when you click "Live Lesson" or "Student-paced" from the My Library screen.

3.) How many students can access a Nearpod lesson at a time?

The amount of students allowed per CODE varies depending on what Edition you have:Silver allows for up to 30Gold allows for up to 50Platinum allows for up to 75School allows for up to 100Gold plus allows for up to 200District allows for up to 200
