Wouldn't it be convenient to be able to have your factory acknowledgments one click away from purchase orders? Previously when working on jobs, sales leads, purchase orders, etc. we had a bit of a cumbersome process in place for saving files & managing documents which included some unnecessary steps. Creating Folders and Uploading Files will now be far more streamlined.
Google Driven - There are two specific reasons we've chosen Google Drive to be the back-end of SMCP. With Google Drive what we have is a virtual document management system and at minimal cost. We're also able to integrate the most useful aspects of Drive within SMCP. Due to this we've taken steps to eliminate the amount of time spent navigating Drive specifically by streamlining the process and creating Google Drive shortcuts into control panel.
Create document folder in Google Drive - This button will now exist for Orders, Purchasing, Edit Customers, & Edit Sales Leads. As opposed to going into Google Drive to create and locate new folders you can simply click this option to have a folder created for you. Once you've created this folder a link will auto populate (this is located where links were once copied),
Upload Files - Much like Create Document this option will exist in several convenient pages After you've created a folder the "Upload Files" button will further condense what used to be a tedious task. If you have a file that you need associated with the folder you've created just click the Upload File option. A file and folder can also be created simultaneously if a folder wasn't initially created. When a file is uploaded without a folder assigned to it the program will then create a folder associated with the file.
These fields will then auto-populate with the information from the previous web page you were on. All you need to do from here is either drag the current file into the "Choose File" button or click this button and search for the appropriate file. Once done click upload file. From here you'll receive an email confirmation letting you know that the was file(s) sent correctly.
