There are a couple of cases where we run into problems with assigning salespersons to orders:
We sometimes want to leave an order 'unassigned' (assign it to NO salesperson) - OR - we sometimes want to KEEP the salesperson on the order (mainly for sales history), even though that salesperson has been removed from the list.
This has caused some problems with how the list of salespeople works in order entry. To try to keep these straight, we've made some changes to the list of salespeople in Order Entry:
1) If you do NOT want to assign the order to a particular salesperson, choose '(No salesperson)' from the list.
2) If the original salesperson has been removed, you can STILL choose that salesperson - he will appear in the list, but instead of the original name, it will show the sales code and say '(Salesperson deleted)' for the name.
3) If you want to assign a salesperson from the list, then just select that salesperson.
