Below is an example of an interactive Detail Sheet using Web Based Writing (you can download the detail sheet template for this sample here: Sample detail sheet):
These can easily be created using templates which will be available to copy & edit as you see fit.
We've revamped the Detail Sheets to now include Web Based Writing as opposed to simple text. Where mechanics were using simple text before creating a few complications, using Web Based Writing will provide a simplified solution to the problem. The biggest improvement this brings is the addition of buttons, drop downs, and check boxes to Detail Sheets. Going forward this means that when using a Detail Sheet there will be far less room for error as text will be separated efficiently.
After editing or creating a new detail sheet adding these changes to a new work order is easy as well. At the bottom of the Work Order Edit screen you'll have the option to add your new form. New forms can be viewed after selecting "Add Selected Detail Sheet". All new Web Based Forms will be distinguishable in that they are described as Web Entry Forms. After a mechanic enters information into the new form seen below, it will be converted into easily readable text and can be saved as you would a normal work order.
