The date and time fields have been streamlined, shortcut keys added (in red - use 'Alt' and the red character), and a lot of screen validation has been added to make it consistent with other master entry screens. Reports have been updated to provide telephone links so that simply clicking the phone numbers triggers a phone call on a mobile phone.
Additionally, new functions have been added:
You can now 'Clone' a Sales Lead. This will initialize a new lead, and carry the previous contact information so you can manage a new lead for the same company/person. You can also create an order or a quote from the sales lead automatically - this will transfer pertinent information to the new order or quote, saving the double entry of retyping information.
The 'Bid' system has been completely revamped, beginning with a new name. The former 'Bids' have been renamed 'Sales Leads', which is more consistent with the way in which they are used. Sales Leads are now logically integrated into the system flow to minimize redundant entry: Sales Contacts can be linked to Sales Leads, which can automatically generate Quotes, which can generate Proposals and be converted into Orders, which finally generate Invoices.
The screen has been redesigned, and 'Ship-to' fields have been added (though they are not required input).
