Periodically you'll want to remove records of inventory items that are no longer in use, especially the 'dedicated' items that the system can create for one-time items dedicated to one particular sales order. Normally, once these are used, they are no longer needed, and you can remove them after a year or two. But in general, it's helpful to keep your list of inventory items small and manageable.
