1988: al-QAeda

al-Qaeda is American made, an instrument of terror designed to divide and conquer the oil-rich Middle East and to counter Iran’s growing influence in the region. The fact that the United States has a long and torrid history of backing terrorist groups will surprise only those who watch the news and ignore history.

America began their relationship with Islamist terrorist organisation in the early 1970's. The CIA gave birth to Osama bin Laden and breastfed his organisation during the 1980′s. Former British Foreign Secretary, Robin Cook, told the House of Commons that al-Qaeda was unquestionably a product of the CIA.

al-Qaeda, which literally means 'the database' in Arabic, was originally the computer database of thousands of Islamist extremists, who were trained by the CIA and funded by the Saudis, in order to defeat the Russians in Afghanistan during the 1970-80's.

This backfired, as seen in 2001 when planes were hijacked and flown into buildings. Or maybe, al-Qaeda did exactly what is was meant to do... When 9/11 occurred, President Bush announced a 'War on Terror' which become a way for the United States to justify mass surveillance, international invasion, military expansion and the toppling of several governments in the Middle East.

The so-called 'War on Terror' should be seen for what it really is: a reason for keeping a dangerously oversized United States military in the Middle East.

"The United States have been using terrorism to get what they want for a long time. In 1978-79 the American Senate was trying to pass a law against international terrorism – in every version they produced, and there were thousands of different versions written, the lawyers said the United States would be in direct violation. So the law was scrapped and to this day, the United States continues to use terrorism as an excuse to go to war.”

Former Director of the NSA, William Oden
