3150BC: Egypt

The Great Pyramid of Giza is the last remaining of the Seven Wonders of the World. It has withstood earthquakes, floods, storms and wars. It still stands proud in Giza, Egypt. It was the tallest structure on the face of the earth for 43 centuries, 4300 years. Mankind could not build a taller structure until the Eiffel Tower was built in 1889. The story of the pyramids goes something like this. 200,000 years ago science prove man walked on earth. In 8000 BC civilisation was born in Mesopotamia. In 3000 BC civilisation moved to Egypt, where they picked up stones and sticks and started building. Thus the pyramids were built. They have been around for thousands of years, they are old news, why are we still talking about them today? Because the Pyramids display a knowledge far beyond the capabilities of the Egyptian people.

Are we missing a crucial element of the human story? Who really built the pyramids?
