If you are on Mac OS, you can't create screen recording in PowerPoint.

It comes pre-installed in Macs.

It has powerful and easy-to-use editing tools.
Why not use it:
You'll still need to upload the recording elsewhere to share it.

You can record narration slide-by-slide.
You can edit slide-by-slide.
You can collaborate, allow others to edit/comment on your VoiceThread.
Why not use it:
You can't record your screen (but you can upload a video of a screen recording you created elsewhere).
Integration with your Canvas course has to be manually set up.
Zoom
Why use it:
You're likely familiar with it already
If you use the Canvas integration and record to the cloud, recordings will automatically be uploaded to Panopto and students can access it by clicking on the Panopto Recordings link on your Canvas course.
Why not use it:
If you record locally, you'll still need to upload the recording elsewhere to share it.
