Your instructors may require you to submit different types of assignments including graded Discussions and Upload File types.

Video 2: Discussions Overview

Discussions are an important part of communicating with and learning from your classmates and instructors. They are used extensively at the iSchool.

0:28 Marking discussions as "read" automatically or manually
1:00 Icons that indicate graded/non graded discussions, peer review and subscribe

2:38 Reply to discussion, or to an individual post (threaded)
2:57 Use the Rich Content Editor to format text, add links and images, etc.

Video 3: Groups Overview

Group work is another common component of iSchool courses. Some instructors may automatically assign you to a group. Others will allow you to choose a group to join. Once in a group, Canvas has tools for collaborating with other members to complete assignments in its own mini Canvas site that only your group (and instructor) can see. In that area, you can create private discussions, upload files, and make announcements
