Shuoyan presented his project on Snowplow Routes Using All-New Persepectives: Road Users and Winter Road Maintenance Operators (under review)
Starting Winter 2020, Tasnia Nowrin has relocated from Bangladesh to begin her tenure as Dr. Kwon's newest MSc student.

Starting Fall 2019, Davesh Sharma has relocated from India to begin his tenure as Dr. Kwon's newest MSc student.

With a diverse committee of subject matter experts from academia, consulting firms, environmental nonprofits, and government, the CitiesIPCC Legacy Research Grant Program awarded nearly $200,000 to four research projects.

Congratulations to Lian Gu who completed her Master’s degree and thesis titled “Developing Models for Estimating Winter Road Weather and Surface Conditions–An Empirical Investigation” under the supervision of Dr. Kwon. Lian’s work focused on the estimation of road surface conditions using RWIS data to effectively improve winter road maintenance operation.
Dr. Tae J. Kwon was awarded the FGSR Great Supervisor Award which recognizes supervisors who demonstrate strong supervisory skills or who foster mentorship in their programs. A great supervisor is someone who has been particularly helpful, such as a supportive supervisory committee member, or someone who fosters good supervision and mentorship in your program.
Simita was awarded the Alexander Graham Bell Canada Graduate Scholarship-Doctoral (CGS D).The prestigious CGS D program allows excellent students to pursue doctoral studies in Canada. The objective of the program is to ensure a reliable supply of highly qualified personnel to meet the needs of Canada’s knowledge economy.
