About Walaa Darwish:

I am a PhD student in Civil and Environmental Engineering, joining the University of Alberta in September 2025. Before my doctoral studies, I served as a Lecturer at Yarmouk University in Jordan, where I focused on undergraduate engineering education. I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), where I had the distinction of graduating first in my class during my Master’s program.
