Shuoyan Xu received the B.E.degree in transportation engineering from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2014. In 2018, he began his graduate studies as a Master of Science in transportation engineering in the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada under the supervision of Dr. Tae J. Kwon and completed it in April 2021.

His current research interest is snow plow routing optimization and is currently a research assistant with Dr. Kwon. He is currently working on his Ph.D program at the University of Toronto in September 2021.
