Dr. Joseph W. Dawson

Hello! My name is Dr. Dawson, and I am excited to step into the 8th-grade ESE resource teacher role this year. While my primary focus is on ELA and math, I will also be supporting students directly in their U.S. History and Science classrooms. My goal is to ensure every student succeeds this year, building a strong foundation that prepares them for high school and a bright future. 

About me: As an ordained pastor and educator, my mission is to help people grow. I work closely with adults and students, combining real-world teaching with supportive leadership to give them the tools, encouragement, and strategies they need to reach their educational goals. Outside of my career, I have been married to my lovely wife for 34 years, and we share two children and four grandchildren. When I'm not on the golf course or traveling, I enjoy spending time with family and finalizing my first Christian book, Clay in the Master’s Hands. After an incredible three-week trip exploring Italy’s history, art, and food this past summer, we are looking forward to visiting Portugal this Christmas and Japan next summer.
