Orientation 8/4/26
First Day of School 8/6/26
Important Information
Please Review the Syllabus & Behavior Management Plan Below:
Google Classroom: Our Digital Classroom!
We will be using Google Classroom as our main platform for learning. On the first day of school, your child will join my Google Classroom, where all important resources, announcements, and assignments will be posted. Students are expected to complete and turn in their work, by assigned due dates, through Google Classroom. To stay informed about your child’s progress and upcoming assignments, I encourage you to check their Google Classroom regularly. This is a great way to stay connected and support your child’s learning throughout the year!
Communication:
I am available to any student or parent requesting additional assistance or needing additional information. If you choose to email me, please remember to reference your student’s name in the email. If you prefer to contact me by phone, please call the school office and leave a message requesting me to return your phone call. If I need to contact you, I will first try to contact you through email unless you have indicated a preference for phone contact. Please allow 1-2 business days for a response.

3 lessons completed & passed: 100%
2 lessons completed: 75%
1 lesson completed: 60%
0 lessons completed: 0%
Independent Reading Expectations:
Students will establish 4 reading goals per quarter. To support progress toward these goals, students will complete weekly Reading Trackers and Notes for a practice grade.
Weekly Reading Minute Requirements:
Gifted/Advanced ELA (Periods 2, 3, 4, and 7) = 100 minutes
Regular ELA (Periods 1 and 5) = 75 minutes
**Please be aware that quarterly weekly reading minutes are cumulative and not retroactive. A student may not turn in reading minutes retroactively for a week for which they did not complete the reading. Reading Trackers and Notes will always have a weekly, predetermined due date and must be observed unless arrangements have been made with the teacher.
