Welcome to 6th grade!  I am so excited to have you in my classes this year.  I was very excited to meet you and your families at orientation.  It was a pleasure to see you and I look forward to getting to know each of you more in the upcoming weeks.  

I know the first couple weeks are packed full and feel a little heavy but we will be having so much fun while we work to learn the rules and new procudures of middle school and dig into the curriculum.  Have an open mind, some grace, and go easy on yourselves. 

A little information about me!  I am entering my 21st year of teaching, 19 of them here at the charter school.  I have an amazing daughter starting college this month at FSU so I am excited for her future.  Go NOLES!   I have lived in Florida my entire life so I am that rare bread of native Floridian.  I grew up on the beaches of Sanibel and Captiva so I am a lover of all things water and of fishing.  NOT the heat. 🥵  I have a dog and a cat but would love to also have a mini cow.  Love all animals!

I truly love what I do and am so excited to start our journey in both ELA and world history.  It is going to be a great year so come ready for the first day of school with your supplies, positive attitude, and a growth mindset!  See you soon.
