Welcome to 7th Grade Civics and Economics! Brace yourself for a challenging second semester of what we hope will contain many positive educational experiences for you. Here's where you begin to understand and improve the world!

Students are currently being introduced to the economic components of this course. Taxation, budgeting, and monetary concerns will be the focus of this first economics unit. The study will conclude with a two day presentation by Citizens First Bank, who will sharpen their personal financial skills in hopes of preparing them for a prosperous future.

Then, right before Spring Break, we will begin our final Civics unit of the year - which will be an examination of U.S. Foreign Policy.

Civics tutoring will be available for struggling students in room 226 from 3:30 - 4:00 just about every other Wednesday (towards the second half of each quarter). It is recommended that struggling students attend these tutoring sessions in an effort to raise their low Civics average. Here are the tutoring dates for the second semester: 1/28, 2/11, 2/25, 3/11, 4/15, 4/29, and 5/13.

Pocket folder; blue/black pen or pencil; blank, lined, loose leaf paper (along with a charged chromebook)
