We will begin the year learning about the social studies categories that fall under the headings of civics and economics. Then our first unit will take us to a study of immigration and citizenship. Students will understand that a good American citizen is one that knows and exercises their duties and responsibilities of citizenship.

Civics tutoring will be available for struggling students in room 226 from 3:30 - 4:00 just about every other Wednesday (towards the second half of each quarter). It is recommended that struggling students attend these tutoring sessions in an effort to raise their low Civics average. Here are the tutoring dates for the first semester: 9/2, 9/16, 9/30, 11/4, 11/18, & 12/9.
