I will tutoring most Mondays after school from 3:15-4:15 and most Thursdays before school from 6:45 - 7:45 AM. Please look at the bottom of this page for my tutoring letter that I sent home. This letter has all the information you need to know about tutoring.

If your student is absent, he/she is missing my daily live lesson. I am assigning these in Edpuzzle under "No Due Date", so these videos are not confused with videos that are mandatory homework. If your child is absent, it is a good idea for him/her to watch the daily lesson and to take notes. It will help prepare them to complete their classwork practice.

Algebra is currently working in Chapter 5. In Chapter 5, students will learn how to apply the Law of Exponents and apply those laws to scientific notation. Students will also use the Law of Exponents to generate equivalent expressions. Students will also learn how to solve radicals, do operations with radicals, and simplify radicals (Look at the Geometry chapter below. Students will use these skills again in Geometry next year.) At the end of Chapter 5, students will learn about exponential functions. They will write, solve, and graph these functions.  Lastly, students will learn how to solve compound interest problems.  Compound interest is a form of exponential functions.

For the week before Fall Break, Geometry students will do a constructions project - Stained Glass Windows. Students will make 17 different geometry constructions into their stained glass window design. They will sit with me and show me all 17 constructions within their design. After I check it, students will color their stained glass windows. This can be framed and given as a Christmas gift for grandparents!

If you have any questions, please let me know!
