I will tutoring most Mondays after school from 3:15-4:15 and most Thursdays before school from 6:45 - 7:45 AM. Please look at the bottom of this page for my tutoring letter that I sent home. This letter has all the information you need to know about tutoring.
If your student is absent, he/she is missing my daily live lesson. I am assigning these in Edpuzzle under "No Due Date", so these videos are not confused with videos that are mandatory homework. If your child is absent, it is a good idea for him/her to watch the daily lesson and to take notes. It will help prepare them to complete their classwork practice.
Algebra is currently working in Chapter 6. In Chapter 6, students will learn about polynomials and how to complete operations with polynomials (add, subtract, multiply, and divide). Students will also learn how to factor a polynomial. This will help students prepare to solve quadratic functions.
Geometry students are working in Chapter 8 - Trigonometry. Students will study and apply the Pythagorean Theorem and its converse. Students will learn how to use trigonometry to solve for missing side lengths and inverse trigonometric functions to solve for missing angle measures. We will be applying these skills to real-life problems. The week before Winter Break, students will complete a construction project - Snowflakes. Students will learn how to inscribe a regular figure and then apply symmetry to their design.
