I will tutoring most Mondays after school from 3:30-4:30 and most Thursdays before school from 7:00-7:45 AM. Please look at the bottom of this page for my tutoring letter that I sent home. This letter has all the information you need to know about tutoring.
I am NOT tutoring Monday, 10/13 nor Monday, 10/20. I am going to make those tutoring days up by tutoring on Tuesday, 10/14 from 3:30-4:30 AND Tuesday, 10/21 from 3:30-4:30!
If your student is absent, he/she is missing my daily live lesson. I am assigning these in Edpuzzle under "No Due Date", so these videos are not confused with videos that are mandatory homework. If your child is absent, it is a good idea for him/her to watch the daily lesson and to take notes. It will help prepare them to complete their classwork practice.
Algebra is currently working in Chapter 3. In Chapter 3, students will expand their knowledge of graphing linear equations by transforming those equation. Students will also learn about the key features of linear equations (functions) - domain and range (as inequalities and in set notation), the meaning of the y-intercept in a real-life problem, the meaning of the x-intercept in a real-life problem, the meaning of slope in a real life problem, and how to identify a continuous vs. discrete graphs. Lastly, students will learn how to write and solve absolute value equations. Students will also graph and transform the graphs of absolute value equations (functions).
Geometry is currently working in Chapter 5 - Relationships within Triangles. Students will learn about the points of concurrency in Triangles - circumcenters, incenters, centroids, and orthocenter. There are several theorems about triangles in this chapter. There is a lot of new vocabulary, so I've put a vocabulary sheet with pictures in the Google Classroom. I have also made and assigned Ch 5 words in Quizlet. Lastly, students will learn about inequalities in one or two triangles.
If you have any questions, please let me know!
