I have begun tutoring on Thursday mornings and Monday afternoons. The letter I sent to everyone through Parent Square is at the bottom of this webpage! It has all the information you need for tutoring.
On the calendars below, you will find your child's assignments. These embedded calendars are the SAME as your child's Google Classroom Calendar.
Honors Algebra I students are learning about linear equations in Ch 2. There are 3 forms of linear equations: 1. Slope-Intercept Form 2. Point-Slope Form 3. Standard Form. Students will be graphing, finding slope, and finding x- and y-intercepts. Students will also learn how to write equations of lines that are parallel or perpendicular to a given line.
Honors Geometry students are working in Ch 4 - Proving Triangles Congruent. In this chapter students will learn the theorems and postulates for proving triangles are congruent: SSS, SAS, AAS, ASA, HL. Students will continue to practice writing proofs using these theorems and postulates. They will also learn how to use "corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent" in proofs. Students will learn about isosceles and equilateral triangles, which have their own sets of theorems! Lastly, students will learn how to visually dissect overlapping triangles to prove when triangles are congruent.
