I will tutoring most Mondays after school from 3:15-4:15 and most Thursdays before school from 6:45 - 7:45 AM. Please look at the bottom of this page for my tutoring letter that I sent home. This letter has all the information you need to know about tutoring.
If your student is absent, he/she is missing my daily live lesson. I am assigning these in Edpuzzle under "No Due Date", so these videos are not confused with videos that are mandatory homework. If your child is absent, it is a good idea for him/her to watch the daily lesson and to take notes. It will help prepare them to complete their classwork practice.
Algebra is currently working in Chapter 8. In Chapter 8, students will apply what they learned about the key features of quadratic functions in Chapter 7 to real world problems. Students will also learn about transformations of quadratic functions in graphs. Students will learn how to classify functions from a table into categories of linear, exponential, and quadratic. Lastly, students will learn how to write a quadratic function from a graph or table.
Geometry students are working in Chapter 11 - Surface Area and Volume. Students will apply finding the area of shapes in Chapter 10, to finding surface area and volume. Students will also learn how to compare the volume of similar figures. Lastly, students will learn how to solve real world population density problems using area.
