Welcome to 8th Grade Advanced English Language Arts!

Welcome! My name is Ms. Perantoni, and I am excited to be your 8th Grade Advanced English Language Arts teacher this year. I look forward to making this a memorable year filled with meaningful learning experiences that are both challenging and rewarding.

Get ready for an exciting journey of reading, writing, thinking, and discovering! In Advanced ELA, you will explore thought-provoking novels, poetry, drama, and nonfiction while analyzing complex characters, themes, literary devices, and authors' craft. You will sharpen your reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills as you learn to communicate your ideas with confidence, clarity, and purpose.

This classroom is a place where curiosity is encouraged, creativity is celebrated, and academic excellence is expected. Together, we will ask insightful questions, engage in meaningful discussions, and challenge ourselves to think deeply about the texts we read and the world around us.
