Playground Buddies
Our Playground Buddies for this Term:
Our Manifesto:
We (playground buddies) have the responsibility of making sure everyone has fun on the playground.
As playground buddies we are in charge of setting up the playground. We set up the quiet area for the children. The quiet area has Lego, books, colouring and games. The children have large cushions and comfy bean bags to relax on. We also put out the main playground equipment. We have skipping ropes, bats and balls, hula hoops and a large connect 4.
We make sure that the equipment is in good order and that nobody is using it inappropriately.
We monitor the playground so if anybody gets hurt we can calm them down and get help and if anyone is lonely we can start a game with them or buddy them up with someone.
Year 5 and 6 Playground Buddies.
Our role as a Playground Buddy includes:
Looking after children.
Setting out equipment.
Packing the equipment back.
Teaching children to share.
Creating games for children.
We help children when they are sad.
Encourage them to make new friends.
Show children how to use the values.
Help them with friendship problems.
We show them how to respect the equipment.
Teach children how to respect each other.
Make them happy when they are sad or alone.
