Curriculum Ambassadors
Our Curriculum Ambassadors:
Our Manifesto:
A year or so ago nearly half of the school voted 'no' to the question 'Do you think the curriculum reflects you?' We therefore knew it was time for a change and Curriculum Leaders were created. We are a multicultural bunch and it is our job to ensure our school and curriculum celebrate different cultures, ethnicities, religions, languages, disabilities, genders and sexuality. We help in organising assemblies and festivals that represent our school community. Our aim this year is to ensure children have greater knowledge of some of festivals and events that they may not have known about previously.
Our roles as Curriculum Ambassadors include:
Plan Friday assembly themes ensuring diversity.
Deliver some Friday assemblies - especially in our area of expertise.
Feedback to Mrs. Kearney about the curriculum in our year group, e.g. the introduction of Knowledge Organisers.
Make suggestions about how the curriculum can be further developed - this year with a particular focus on diversity and representation.
Autumn Term update:
'Over the last term, the Curriculum leaders have been quite busy. We have organised and led some assemblies, including Dusshera, Gurupurab and the abolition of Slavery. We have also helped to organise the library for the reopening.'
