Mental Health & Well-Being Ambassadors
Our Mental Health and Well-Being Ambassadors:
Our Manifesto:
The aim of the mental health and well-being Team is to ensure all members of the school at every level are aware of what mental well-being is and the positive/negative impact it can have on an individual’s well-being. We aim to promote well-being by making Western House Academy a place where everyone feels a sense of belonging by being an integral part of a community culture where we look out for each other. The team will be a voice for the greater school community and help organise activities that promote well-being across the whole school.
Our roles as Mental Health & Well-Being Ambassadors include:
Ensure they are keeping a record of the popularity of all the activities that were completed on the wellbeing days.
Discuss with their classes to find where the gaps are and what other activities we could include in the next wellbeing day.
Talk to children and assess if these activities are having a positive impact and if they are applying the use of some of them at home like meditation and going for nature walks.
Autumn Term update:
This term the Mental Health Ambassadors have met up to talk about the suggestions they have for Wellbeing days this year at WHA. They shared their suggestions for what went well last year and what they would like to see more of on Wellbeing Days this year and have been tasked with asking their class for their ideas and suggestions.
