Color Study

This drawing is made up of multiple oil pastels including orange, red, blue, white, and black. We had to draw a one by one centimeter grid on both the original image and the drawing and we had to combine all the colors in that box and mix them. This drawing took me a while to complete because each square besides the top part of the sky was each a different color and mixing every color which sometimes had three or four colors took me a while. However, once I turned on the basketball game, it was as boring as other projects we have done in the past.

The KFC image of the sign/logo in the sunset was chosen because I couldn't really find anything and after looking around Ian and I thought it would be funny if we drew fast food logos even though you wouldn't even end up seeing the actual logo. For the sign itself, the colors I used was red, white, and black. Across all of my drawing however, the most helpful color I used was definitely white. I found white to be super helpful to use because by using white, you were able to get the correct shade of a color that you wanted.

If I was to go back and change anything, I definitely would have taken more time trying to blend in the colors in between each square. I think there are some white spaces that definitely look not the best and with shading/coloring them I think it would look much better.
