Candy Still LIfe

To the right, my subject of my creation was to draw four different spheres using colored pencils, pens, watercolors, and charcoal and we had to shade them and add a shadow to it as well. To the left, my subject of my creation was to use the same principles we learned with the spheres and shade in candy and add a background as well, this drawing was called candy still life and I used colored pencils to shade everything in and I used sharpies for the background. The rules and techniques I used was to add lighter and darker areas to represent the where the light reflects off of the candy and draw a shadow the opposite side where the light is coming from. Overall I am pleased with the outcome of both of drawings, however I would go back and change a couple of things here or there. One thing I would change for the spheres is that I don't think the shadows match up meaning some of them are at a weird angle, or some of them are too small or they are too light overall and I didn't shade them. One thing I would change or revise in the candy still life would definitely spend more time on the chocolate balls and would make them more rounded and spent more time shading them. Another thing I would change or revise about my artwork is the way the light is coming on the nerds box, it is not consistent with any other piece of candy.
