Beautiful Oops

The setting of my creation is in the winter, with three snowmen all having something different. This artwork was created with a variety of pencils. I started with a regular mechanical pencil and I lightly sketched my drawing. After I was satisfied with my sketch I then moved to color pencils where I added color. The color pencils I used was black, two shades of green, purple and brown. I created this piece of art by thinking of what to draw and after looking at the dot I realized it kind of looked like the middle of a snowman and my imagination ran with that idea and I created this drawing. This work was arranged by trying to minimize the amount of negative space I had in the background by adding more snowmen and trees.

One composition rule I had was not having one big thing in the middle of my paper. I focused more on the outer part of my paper trying to spread out the different pieces of the drawing instead of having all of it in the middle and not having a lot on the outside of the paper. My project evolved from the begining to my final pinal drawing because I moved where I wanted to place the snowmen and the trees. The drawing also evolved by what would be on the snowmen. I didn't want all of them to look the same so I changed it so that they all had something different with them.

The story behind my artwork is that I couldn't figure out what to draw then I was just lightly sketching on my paper and then started to draw circles and then I realized it looks like a snowman and then I went from there. This relates to my life because when I was younger I loved to play in the snow and make different things such as forts and snowmen. My project could be stronger if I was given more dots on my paper instead of one big one. If I got multiple dots I could have included multiple different things instead of just snowmen.
